Ligist is a northern gateway to Weststeiermark’s Schilcher vineyards.
Blauer Wildbacher.
Lively acidity with fresh red-berry flavours; this is a rosé from a dark-skinned grape.
Ligist’s vineyard landscape includes gneiss and schist settings in the foothills of the Reinischkogel. Sauvignon Blanc and Blauer Wildbacher, vinified as Schilcher, are its leading village-wine varieties. The rosé offers an energetic introduction to western Styria. A specific vineyard and the producer’s choices reveal further differences within this delimited part of Weststeiermark DAC.
