Bergamasca offers a flexible introduction to the vineyards of Bergamo province, from aromatic local discoveries to familiar grape-led wines.
Moscato di Scanzo.
Rose, red berries and spice with a fragrant palate; expressions range from dry to gently sweet.
Bergamasca IGT includes white, red and rosé categories, with permitted varietal expressions giving further detail. It has a broader framework than Valcalepio DOC or the highly specific Moscato di Scanzo DOCG. A Moscato di Scanzo-grape wine under this IGT should not automatically be read as the same sweet passito as the DOCG. Follow the complete name, grape and sweetness information to understand the individual bottle. The IGT’s diversity makes producer information particularly useful.
