About Kardanakhi

Where it grows

The village also written Kardenakhi, in Gurjaani municipality beneath the Gombori slopes.

Kardanakhi and Kardenakhi refer to the same place; the spelling difference does not create another appellation. The protected Kardenakhi wine has its own dry amber and fortified white expressions. Village cellars can also make wines with broader Kakheti or other origin labels. Read the complete bottle name to distinguish that wider village wine culture from the protected microzone’s specific wines. This is a useful place to explore the relationship between a local address, vineyard source and appellation.
