About Val Polcèvera DOC

Bianchetta Genovese white

White

Bianchetta Genovese.

A fresh, lightly aromatic white with a delicate fruit character; a named local grape expression.

Where it grows: The Polcevera basin and its tributary valleys around Genoa and neighbouring inland communities.

Val Polcèvera includes whites, reds and rosés, with several named grape expressions. Bianchetta Genovese and Vermentino offer useful white routes, while Dolcetto, Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo contribute to the reds. The distinct Coronata subzone adds a more specific white-wine identity. Follow the complete designation and wine type to distinguish these local expressions from the wider Genoese wine landscape.
