Tarquinia opens a broad coastal Lazio origin for white, red and rosé wines.
Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Giallo, Malvasia Bianca di Candia.
Fresh orchard fruit and light floral notes.
Sangiovese, Montepulciano.
Red and dark berries with a dry, savoury finish.
Tarquinia DOC covers more than the Etruscan town itself. Trebbiano varieties lead the whites, while Sangiovese and Montepulciano help shape the reds. Rosé and additional specified types extend the range. The familiar coastal place name is therefore a geographical starting point; colour, blend and producer explain the wine more precisely.
