Abruzzo DOC opens a broad regional tasting trail, from lively Pecorino and Passerina to lesser-known local white grapes.
Citrus, pear and herbs with bright acidity and a rounded, dry palate.
White flowers, lemon and orchard fruit with a fresh, gently textured finish.
Green apple and citrus with a light, crisp palate.
Abruzzo DOC is a regional protected origin with several wine types, rather than another name for every wine made in Abruzzo. Varietal whites offer an inviting introduction: Pecorino brings substance and freshness, Passerina a lighter floral direction, and Cococciola a crisp local discovery. Montonico and Malvasia add further possibilities. Still wines, sparkling wines and passito have different characters, so the grape and named style are helpful companions to the broad origin.
