Eisenberg explores southern Burgenland through spicy Blaufränkisch reds and a newer protected Welschriesling white-wine identity.
Dark berries, herbs and peppery spice with freshness and fine, firm tannins.
Apple, citrus and herbal notes with a fresh, dry palate and gentle savoury texture.
Eisenberg DAC now includes Welschriesling alongside Blaufränkisch. The white addition means older red-only summaries no longer describe the full protected range. Local soils and exposures vary across the hills, with different sites suited to the two grapes. Welschriesling is a separate variety from Riesling.
