Rosette is a small sweet-white discovery near Bergerac, offering ripe fruit and a lighter-footed Dordogne alternative to richer dessert wines.
Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle.
Ripe pear, peach and floral notes with sweetness and fresh acidity.
Rosette AOP is a white wine despite a name that can suggest pink. Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle form the principal grape family, and the specification defines a sweet style. It therefore differs from Bergerac Rosé as well as from Bergerac Sec. Its small geographical identity makes an appealing starting point for exploring lesser-known Dordogne wines. Read the full appellation rather than using the sound of the name as a colour guide.
