Pla de Bages introduces Picapoll, a distinctive white grape with citrus, floral detail and an easy affinity with the table.
Citrus, white flowers and herbal notes with a rounded palate and gentle freshness.
Red berries and savoury herbs with lively acidity, firm grip and a dry finish.
Picapoll Blanc is a defining local variety for Pla de Bages DO. It offers a useful starting point for exploring a landscape with a deep vineyard heritage, including stone-built wine vats and rural terraces. The denomination also grows other white grapes and several reds, including the locally rooted Sumoll. Vineyard and producer choices create different styles within this relatively compact origin. Picapoll Blanc and the red variety Picapoll Negre are distinct entries in the local grape story.
