Cannara offers a distinctive Umbrian red-wine identity, including a local passito tradition across three defined communities.
Sangiovese.
Cherry, red berries and savoury herbs with freshness and gentle tannic structure.
Cannara IGT is reserved for red wine and red passito, rather than a general white, red and rosé range. Its vineyard history includes Sangiovese, Merlot and the local Cornetta tradition. The protected area extends beyond Cannara’s municipal boundary into Bettona and Bevagna. Read the actual grape and wine type to distinguish a still red from a dried-grape expression, whose sweetness is best checked on the bottle.
