Rosso Piceno brings Montepulciano and Sangiovese together in a broad Marche red-wine tradition.
Montepulciano, Sangiovese.
Cherry, plum and savoury herbs with fresh acidity and a dry, structured palate.
Rosso Piceno, also named Piceno, includes a blended red alongside a separate Sangiovese type and other permitted categories. Montepulciano and Sangiovese form the core partnership in the standard blend. Superiore has a more focused geographical and production identity, rather than simply meaning any richer Piceno wine. Read the full type and producer’s blend to understand the individual expression within this broad central and southern Marche story.
