About Cagliari DOC

Cagliari Vermentino

White

Citrus and stone fruit with a fresh, rounded palate.

Cagliari Monica

Red

Soft red fruit and gentle spice, with a relatively approachable tannic frame.

Cagliari Moscato

White

Aromatic grape, blossom and citrus notes; check the stated wine type and sweetness.

Where it grows: Across the denomination’s defined municipalities in southern and west-central Sardinia.

Cagliari DOC is broader than the city whose name it carries. Its grape-specific wines include Vermentino, Monica, Malvasia and Moscato, offering markedly different experiences. Do not confuse it with the separate Nuragus, Nasco and Girò di Cagliari denominations. Follow the stated grape, wine type and sweetness to find the style you enjoy.
