The Rems valley and Stuttgart’s vineyard slopes offer a distinctive meeting of urban wine culture and hillside growing.
Lively fruit and acidity, with styles ranging from direct and fresh to more substantial vineyard expressions.
A lighter red choice with bright fruit and a refreshing, approachable palate; extraction and sweetness vary.
Older labels and wine maps use Remstal-Stuttgart; the wine district was renamed Remstal in 2025. The familiar older name remains useful when exploring bottles and vineyard histories. This landscape includes steep slopes, small wine towns and vineyards close to the city. Riesling and local red varieties provide different ways in. Follow the actual village, vineyard and producer rather than treating the district name as a single wine style.
