About Teno

Where it grows

In the northern part of the Curicó wine subregion, around the Teno river system and the vineyard areas of Romeral and Rauco.

Valle del Teno is the northern wine zone within Curicó, distinct from the southern Lontué zone. Romeral and Rauco provide more specific origin names within it. River-shaped soils and differences between eastern and western sites broaden the possibilities. Cabernet Sauvignon from documented Romeral vineyards offers one entry point; the wider Curicó label on a bottle may be less specific than the vineyard description.
