Südsteiermark is an inviting Austrian home for Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon and fragrant Muskateller.
Sauvignon Blanc.
Citrus, herbal and sometimes ripe yellow-fruit notes, with lively acidity and a range from brisk to richly textured.
Chardonnay.
A Chardonnay expression with orchard fruit; lees and wood can bring breadth and a savoury edge.
Südsteiermark DAC celebrates regional white wines, with village and individual-vineyard names offering a closer view. Sauvignon Blanc is central, Morillon means Chardonnay, and Gelber Muskateller brings floral fragrance. The five Ortswein areas have different leading varieties and landscapes. Explore those names alongside the grape and producer to compare lively regional bottles with more structured vineyard expressions.
