Lima is one of Vinho Verde’s named subregions. Its valley is open to Atlantic influence, a useful setting for Loureiro’s aromatic white wines. Arinto and Trajadura add further white possibilities, while reds also occur. The subregional name describes origin within Vinho Verde; it does not require every wine to be a pure Loureiro or to have bubbles.
