Friuli Aquileia pairs an ancient wine landscape with fresh Friulano whites and the dark-fruited character of Refosco.
Orchard fruit, herbs and an almond-like finish with a dry, rounded palate.
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.
Dark berries, plum and savoury herbs with fresh acidity and firm tannins.
Aquileia’s Roman heritage adds a historical backdrop to a varied modern DOC. Friulano is central to its Bianco tradition, while varietal whites give other routes into the appellation. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso brings colour, acidity and structure to the reds. The broad plain includes different soil textures and growing settings; a village address alone does not describe the exact vineyard.
