Castel San Lorenzo explores the upper Calore valley through Barbera reds, fresh whites and a varied local wine tradition.
Barbera, Sangiovese.
Cherry, plum and herbal notes with fresh acidity and a dry, gently structured finish.
Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia Bianca.
Citrus, apple and floral notes with a fresh, dry palate.
Castel San Lorenzo DOC brings an unexpected Barbera-led red story to southern Campania, alongside Sangiovese and other permitted grapes. Whites and additional grape-specific wines add range. The inland valley and hillside setting makes a useful contrast to the Amalfi Coast and nearby coastal origins. Read the named type on the bottle, because the appellation identifies several different wine experiences rather than one blend.
