Colline Frentane is a historical IGT whose registration was cancelled in 2026. Qualifying existing stocks remain eligible for sale, preserving the name on older bottles. Its former area included a wider group of places than the historical Colli del Sangro designation, despite their overlapping geography. Whites, reds and rosés shared the origin, making grape and producer useful clues to the individual wine. The old name offers a geographical thread through this part of southern Abruzzo’s wine heritage.
