The Hamptons brings a South Fork perspective to Long Island’s maritime wine landscape.
Fresh orchard fruit and citrus, with body influenced by lees and barrel choices.
Merlot, Cabernet Franc.
Red berries and floral notes with fresh acidity; the actual blend varies.
The full AVA name is The Hamptons, Long Island. It sits within the wider Long Island AVA and is distinct from the North Fork. Chardonnay, Merlot and varied rosé wines offer rewarding starting points. A producer based in the Hamptons may also use grapes from elsewhere, so its address should not be mistaken for the origin of every wine.
