Rheinhessen VDP wines connect Rhine-side Riesling slopes and inland limestone sites through a growers’ classification.
Citrus and stone fruit with a fresh, dry or more layered palate.
Riesling.
Ripe citrus, peach and savoury depth with a structured, persistent dry finish.
Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are separate white-wine choices; a blend is not implied.
Pear and orchard fruit with dry, gently rounded or more textured expressions.
VDP.Rheinhessen is a growers’ association within Rheinhessen, rather than a separate wine appellation. Its estate, village and vineyard categories help explore origin. The Roter Hang and inland limestone sites show contrasting landscapes. Riesling is central to many classified wines; Pinot-family whites and selected reds offer other paths. Grosses Gewächs denotes a dry wine under VDP rules.
