Alto Maipo explores Cabernet Sauvignon at the Andean edge, where terraces and foothill breezes frame some of Chile’s most distinctive reds.
Cassis, red berries and fresh herbs with structured tannins and a long, savoury finish.
Alto Maipo is a descriptive wine-area name for the upper valley and foothill landscape. It is not a substitute for the more specific origin on a bottle, such as Pirque or Puente Alto. Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in selected stony terrace sites, with cool air from the Andes helping shape the growing conditions. Individual estates and vineyard positions vary, so altitude alone does not determine a wine’s style.
