Del Vastese is a historical southern Abruzzo wine name rooted in Vasto and its surrounding vineyard hills.
Del Vastese and Histonium were alternative names for the same IGT, sharing one historical production area and specification. Its registration was cancelled in 2026, although qualifying existing stocks may still be sold. A bottle using either name belongs to this shared history rather than to two separate appellations.
