Montepulciano
Colline Teramane reveals a structured, age-worthy expression of Montepulciano from the hills of northern Abruzzo.
Montepulciano, with Sangiovese permitted in a supporting role.
Dark cherry, plum and savoury spice with firm tannins and a dry, substantial finish.
Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG gives a more focused origin than the wider Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC. Montepulciano leads the red wines, with Sangiovese permitted in a supporting role. Hillside exposure and elevation vary between estates, offering different balances of ripe fruit, freshness and tannin. Riserva signals a separate ageing category. Compare producer and vintage alongside the denomination to explore the Teramo hills in more detail.
