Valle de Malleco offers a cool-climate Chilean route through Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Chardonnay.
Fresh orchard and citrus fruit with lively acidity; barrel and lees maturation can bring depth.
Malleco belongs to Chile’s Sur wine region and has Traiguén as a named wine area. Projects such as Aquitania’s SOLdeSOL document the appeal of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and other early-ripening varieties in this cooler landscape. Site and season are especially important. Compare the vineyard origin and maturation to explore both fresh fruit and fuller, textured expressions.
