Montepulciano
Cònero gives Montepulciano a focused red-wine identity beside the Adriatic hills near Ancona.
Montepulciano leads; Sangiovese is an optional supporting grape.
Dark cherry, plum and savoury spice with a dry palate and firm structure.
Cònero DOCG is a Montepulciano-led red, with Sangiovese permitted as a supporting partner. It has its own ageing requirements and differs from Rosso Cònero DOC. Montepulciano here is the grape, rather than a reference to the Tuscan town or its wines. Vineyard exposure and cellar choices shape the balance between ripe fruit, freshness and tannin within this coastal-facing hill landscape.
