Cesanese di Affile
Cesanese del Piglio gives Lazio’s red-wine tradition a focused foothill expression.
Cesanese di Affile, Cesanese Comune.
Red berries, flowers and spice with a dry, savoury tannic finish.
Cesanese del Piglio, also called Piglio, is a red DOCG based on Cesanese di Affile and/or Cesanese Comune. These are two distinct varieties within the local Cesanese story. Standard and Superiore wines offer different production frameworks, with Riserva within the latter. Piglio is separate from the Cesanese DOCs of Affile and Olevano Romano.
