Prosecco DOC brings Glera’s orchard-fruit freshness to northeastern Italy, with sparkling white and rosé styles to explore.
Glera.
Pear, apple and flowers with lively bubbles; sweetness follows the stated style.
Glera, Pinot Noir.
Red berries, apple and citrus with fresh bubbles and a gently rounded finish.
Prosecco DOC is a broad shared origin, separate from the smaller Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Asolo DOCGs. Glera leads its white wines, while Prosecco DOC Rosé combines Glera with Pinot Nero vinified as red wine. Spumante has a fuller sparkle than frizzante. Brut, Extra Dry and Dry are sweetness terms, with Extra Dry sweeter than Brut; they are more useful than the word Prosecco alone when choosing a bottle.
