Maule is a region of discovery, where old-vine País and Carignan sit alongside Cabernet, fresh whites and individual small-grower wines.
Red berries, flowers and earthy detail with a light to medium body and a fresh, rustic edge.
Sour cherry, dark berries and herbs with lively acidity and firm tannins.
Blackcurrant and plum with a dry, structured palate and savoury herbal notes.
Maule spans inland plains, hills and coastal-facing dry-farmed country. Claro, Loncomilla and Tutuvén identify its major wine zones, with smaller area names adding detail. País connects many growers to a long vineyard heritage, while Carignan is celebrated by the VIGNO producer association. VIGNO is a collective with its own requirements, rather than a synonym for all Maule Carignan. Explore the vineyard origin to distinguish old bush-vine country from the region’s other growing settings.
