Upper Hudson offers a northern New York wine landscape shaped by cold winters and hybrid grapes.
Hybrid varieties
Local hybrid grapes support a varied range of wines. Check each producer’s grape and sweetness information.
Upper Hudson is a separate AVA, rather than a subdivision of Hudson River Region. Its continental setting and short growing season favor cold-hardy grapes. Compare the full origin on each label: the broader Hudson name alone cannot identify this AVA.
