Corpinnat is a registered EU collective mark, distinct from a protected appellation such as Cava DO or Penedès DO. Its commitments include organic grapes, hand harvesting, winemaking on the producer’s premises and at least 18 months of ageing in bottle. Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada are important local grapes, while individual blends vary. Longer ageing can add pastry and nutty complexity.
