Tacoronte-Acentejo offers an inviting red-wine introduction to Tenerife’s northern slopes.
Listán Negro, Negramoll.
Red berries, herbs and peppery notes with a fresh, savoury finish.
Listán Blanco.
Citrus and orchard fruit, from crisp to more textured expressions.
Tacoronte-Acentejo DO is particularly associated with young red wines, though its range is wider. Listán Negro and Negramoll are useful local starting points, with Listán Blanco among the white varieties. The denomination covers a defined northern vineyard area rather than all Tenerife. Compare producer, altitude and wine type instead of expecting one universal volcanic flavour.
