Gibbston wines. in Yukon

Gibbston is a local growing-area name within the registered Central Otago GI, rather than an independently registered GI in the reviewed register. Cooler conditions and north-facing hillside sites often mean later ripening than in warmer neighbouring basins. Pinot Noir offers a useful introduction to this distinctive setting. A cellar address does not show that all of its wines use Gibbston fruit, so follow the stated vineyard origin and producer’s sourcing information.
