Keuka Lake is a local growing area within Finger Lakes, rather than a separately established AVA. Its lakeside wineries offer varied grapes, with Riesling and Cabernet Franc useful places to begin. The lake name in a winery description is not the same as a legal appellation on a bottle. Check the stated grape origin when comparing wines from different estates.
