Méntrida explores Garnacha across varied Toledo landscapes, from warmer country to mountain-influenced slopes.
Grenache.
Red berries, flowers and spice, with warmth and tannic weight varying by site and producer.
Méntrida DO is closely associated with Garnacha, but its vineyards do not all share one altitude or soil. Granitic, sandy settings in parts of the area offer one useful thread. The denomination is distinct from other wine origins around the Gredos mountains. Compare the producer’s actual vineyard location and ageing choices to discover the range from supple fruit to firmer structure.
