Civitella d’Agliano offers a small northern Lazio origin with room for varied grapes and blends.
At least 85% Grechetto for the named-variety type.
The most claimed type in ARSIAL’s 2026 account; fresh white fruit with producer-dependent texture.
Sangiovese is one explicitly permitted named-variety red; other approved grapes and rosé types are also allowed.
Red and rosé expressions vary by grape and producer.
Civitella d’Agliano IGT covers the municipality whose name it bears and allows white, red and rosé wines. It follows a different production framework from neighbouring DOCs. Neither the small area nor the IGT term identifies one required grape. Vineyard, blend and ageing details make useful companions when exploring this local expression of northern Lazio.
