Côtes du Marmandais brings the local Abouriou grape into a varied Garonne wine landscape.
Abouriou can feature alongside Merlot and Cabernet-family grapes; blends vary.
Ripe berries and plum with savoury spice and a rounded, dry palate.
Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon.
Citrus and orchard fruit with freshness and gentle texture.
Côtes du Marmandais AOP includes reds, rosés and whites. Abouriou gives a particularly local thread to the red-wine story, alongside Merlot, Cabernet and other permitted grapes. Sauvignon offers a white-wine route, with different blends available. River terraces and neighbouring hills provide contrasting sites. Look for the producer’s grape information when seeking Abouriou, since its presence and proportion are not identical in every red bottle.
