Tuscia opens northern Lazio’s vineyard landscape through a broad range of white and red wines.
Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia del Lazio.
Apple, citrus and gentle floral notes; dryness depends on the specified type.
Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Merlot.
Berry fruit and a dry or softer finish according to the labelled type.
Colli Etruschi Viterbesi and Tuscia are alternative names for one DOC. Its broad wine range includes blends and named-grape types rather than a single regional recipe. Trebbiano Toscano, locally called Procanico, is important in the whites; reds include Sangiovese-led blends. Wine type and grape make the varied northern Lazio origin easier to explore.
