Taurasi is an essential Aglianico origin, offering structured reds from the inland hills of Campania.
Dark cherry, plum and savoury spice with fresh acidity, firm tannins and a dry, persistent finish.
Taurasi DOCG is a protected red-wine origin led by Aglianico, with regulated ageing before release and a separate Riserva category. Its inland vineyard setting is different from Campania’s coastal and island districts. Firm tannins and fresh acidity can support bottle development, while producer and vintage shape the balance. Taurasi is a place and appellation, rather than a grape name or a synonym for all Campanian Aglianico.
