Falanghina del Sannio offers a bright white-wine introduction to Campania’s inland Benevento vineyards.
Lemon, apple and white flowers with a fresh, dry palate.
Citrus and orchard fruit with lively bubbles; sweetness and method vary by wine.
Falanghina is the defining grape of this DOC. Fresh still whites are a natural entry point, while sparkling, late-harvest and passito expressions show a wider range under their own requirements. The appellation is distinct from a Falanghina labelled Beneventano IGT or Campania IGT. Similar grapes can therefore carry different levels of geographical detail. Follow the full denomination, subzone and wine type when choosing.
