Colli del Sangro traces a historical wine origin along the Sangro’s hills and lower valley in southern Abruzzo.
Colli del Sangro IGT was cancelled in 2026, with qualifying existing stocks allowed to sell through. Its name still helps place older wines in the landscape between inland hills and the Adriatic side of the Sangro valley. The historical designation covered white, red and rosé wines rather than one fixed grape or flavour. Read it alongside the producer and vintage when exploring an older bottle, then use the wine’s own grape statement for a more precise guide to style.
