Puente Alto brings Cabernet Sauvignon into sharp focus, with celebrated stony terraces at Santiago’s Andean edge.
Blackcurrant, cherry and cedar-like detail with firm, finely textured tannins.
Puente Alto’s vineyard story is closely tied to Cabernet Sauvignon on well-drained alluvial terraces. The Andes form the eastern backdrop, and individual parcels differ in stones, soil depth and exposure. A Puente Alto origin is more specific than Maipo Valley. Some famous wines are Cabernet-led blends rather than pure varietal bottles, so the grape information remains useful even when the place name is familiar.
