About Cortona

Syrah reds

Red

Syrah leads the red blend; Merlot is a blending partner, and varietal Syrah is also made.

Blackberries, pepper and savoury spice, often with a generous texture.

Varietal whites

White

Chardonnay, Grechetto and Sauvignon Blanc.

From rounded orchard-fruit Chardonnay to brisker, more aromatic whites; look at the grape named on the bottle.

Where it grows: Around Cortona, above the Val di Chiana in eastern Tuscany.

Cortona offers a different red-wine conversation from Sangiovese country: Syrah is central to its red blend and a notable varietal wine.
