About Côtes de la Malepère

Malepère red

Red

Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Plum and dark berries with a supple feel and gentle herbal detail.

Malepère rosé

Rosé

Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Red berries and fresh herbal notes, with a little more weight than the palest coastal rosés.

Where it grows: Southwest of Carcassonne, across the hills around the Malepère massif.

The older name Côtes de la Malepère is now usually seen as Malepère. Reds are Merlot-led; rosés have their own Cabernet Franc-led blend, shaped by the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences.
