Castelo Rodrigo offers a high plateau perspective on Beira Interior’s aromatic whites and fresh reds.
Citrus, flowers and white fruit with a lively finish.
Castelo Rodrigo is a subregion of Beira Interior DOC rather than a separate present-day DOC. Its plateau vineyards experience marked temperature contrasts, supporting freshness in both colours. Síria whites provide an inviting starting point. The protected subregional area should be distinguished from the historic village alone, and from the broader Terras da Beira PGI.
