Campidano di Terralba and Terralba are alternative names for the same DOC. Its reds are based on Bovale Sardo, also called Bovaleddu, and/or Bovale Grande, also called Bovale di Spagna. These local names should not be collapsed into a single grape. The denomination covers more than Terralba town and offers a useful alternative to Cannonau-led reds.
