Yecla gives Monastrell a focused home in northern Murcia’s inland vineyard country.
Monastrell (Mourvèdre).
Ripe dark fruit and savoury spice, with structure shaped by extraction and ageing.
Yecla DO follows a single municipality, making it geographically distinct from neighbouring Jumilla and Alicante. Monastrell is central to its red-wine identity, with vineyard altitude and producer choices creating different expressions. The denomination also accommodates other grapes and colours. Look beyond the regional name to the vineyard, blend and maturation details for the style of an individual bottle.
