Colline Savonesi is an inviting place to discover Lumassina and Granaccia in western Liguria.
Lumassina.
A fresh, delicate white with lively acidity; some bottlings have the gentle fizz of frizzante.
Colline Savonesi IGT covers Savona province and offers several wine types. Lumassina, also encountered locally as Buzzetto or Mataosso, gives a distinctive white route, including lightly sparkling frizzante. Granaccia provides a red alternative. A frizzante Lumassina should not automatically be described as a fully sparkling spumante; the stated wine type and producer explain its gentler fizz.
