Mesenikola PDO, also encountered as Messenikola, is a dry red blend led by Mavro Mesenikola with Carignan and Syrah. It is a smaller protected origin within the wider Karditsa landscape. The local grape should not be confused with every red variety called Mavro elsewhere in Greece. Follow producer and vineyard for the individual wine’s weight and texture.
