Ribbon Ridge wines reveal a compact Oregon AVA, with Pinot Noir from a distinct ridge of marine-sedimentary soils.
Cherry, berries and savoury spice with a textured palate and fine or firmer tannins.
Citrus and orchard fruit with a dry, fresh or more substantial texture.
Ribbon Ridge is a separate AVA within the wider Chehalem Mountains landscape. Its compact ridge and marine-sedimentary soils give a useful geographic starting point. Pinot Noir is central to the area’s wine identity, with Chardonnay offering a white comparison. A vineyard and producer name helps distinguish expressions within this small origin.
